Chicago Indian Wedding celebrations always have a special energy, and this one started long before the wedding day itself. We first met this couple during their engagement session in downtown Chicago, beginning near the Chicago Planetarium and finishing around the Board of Trade. Their outfits were incredible, and right away we knew their wedding story would be something truly special.
As the celebrations continued, we photographed the Mehndi at the bride’s family home. It was an intimate and relaxed day filled with laughter, music, and beautiful moments shared with close family.
The following morning, we documented Holi at Lakeshore East Park. The light was perfect, and the energy was amazing. Bright colors filled the air as everyone celebrated together, creating fun, emotional, and vibrant images that really tell the story of the day.
This was just the beginning of their Chicago Indian Wedding, and we were excited to continue capturing everything that followed.
The wedding ceremony and reception took place at the South Shore Cultural Center
On the third day, the morning began with preparations at the Swissôtel Chicago. We captured a very emotional first look with the bride and her father, followed by a first look with the groom, both taking place in the room where the bride was getting ready. These quiet moments set a beautiful tone for the day.
From the hotel, everyone traveled together by bus to the South Shore Cultural Center. The ceremony took place outdoors by the lake, and it was a very warm day. One of the most memorable moments was seeing guests holding umbrellas to shade themselves from the sun, which added a unique and honest touch to the ceremony. The couple’s outfits were stunning, and the bridesmaids looked beautiful in soft rose-colored dresses.
After a short break, everyone returned to the hotel, and later in the day, we headed back to the South Shore Cultural Center for the reception, held in the same location as the ceremony. As the evening unfolded, the space transformed into a lively celebration filled with energy, dancing, and unforgettable moments.
It was truly an exceptional wedding and an incredible experience to photograph from start to finish.
